After completing one of the tasks above, Varre will ask you to formally join Mohg's Order. Agreeing to this grants you the Lord of Blood's Favor, a cloth item that must be soaked in a maiden's blood. This part of the quest involves some grim choices—either find a dead maiden or create one.

 

Where to soak the Favor:

 

    Church of Inhibition – Located at the top of Frenzied Flame Village, this church has a maiden's corpse.

    Chapel of Anticipation – Return here using the second belfry at The Four Belfries. You'll find another dead maiden.

    Kill Irina – Found at the entrance of the Weeping Peninsula, though this comes with moral consequences.

Optional Encounter: Fight White Mask Varre

 

If you're curious—or vengeful—you can choose to fight Varre later on.

 

    After reaching Mohgwyn's Palace, travel to the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint Site of Grace.

 

    Just outside, you'll find Varre's invasion sign.

 

    Defeat him in combat to gain 6 Festering Bloody Fingers.

 

    Then return to the hallway where the invasion sign was to find his dying body. Speak to him one last time, and you'll receive Varre's Bouquet, a unique weapon, and another 6 Festering Bloody Fingers.

 

Important Notes

 

    If you kill Varre early in the game, you won't be able to complete this questline or receive the Bloody Finger and Pureblood Knight's Medal. However, you can still reach Mohgwyn's Palace through an alternate method.

 

    Use the hidden teleporter north-northwest of Yelough Anix Tunnel in the Consecrated Snowfield. It requires access to the Haligtree Medallion, so it's not available early-game.
