Sharpshooter is the victim of a too strict power budget
"Sharpshooter bad!" is what I started the game through, it was from YouTubers and Twitch streamers and also Korean community members from every angle. Following the recent boosts, the mood has changed from the things I've seen that it's not a top choice, but it's regarded as a middle-of-the-pack.
As an Sharpshooter variant, it took me some time to figure out reasons I wasn't happy with the class although I like the idea it's the way the power budget wo rks.
Sharpshooter is a huge player that require a lot of preparation. .... average damage? Perhaps I was spoilt by my Sorc and Zerker alts however with each alt I added the more I struggled to get rid of the feeling that Sharpshooter capabilities felt unrewarding... But it's not that bad. MVP Sharpshooters aren't as common as they used to be in the past.
The most important thing here is the constant DPS of Sharpshooter, which does add to a very nice sum, giving Sharpshooter an area between the other birds... But precisely the portion of the power budget that was spent on making the bird feel significant is what makes his big blasts... seem less exactly like huge bangs.
It's a little sad. I absolutely love the concept. However, I suppose it's just another forever-alt.
Some people seem to consider Sharpshooter poor due to how popular he is. In addition, it is the case that he's one of the classes with low numbers of people across the majority of areas (even Sharpshooter!) Contrary to what is commonly believed however, he's pretty balanced and is an impressive character.
The issue you're seeing currently is that he doesn't really spike as well prior to relics.
DS largest power boost is the result of acquiring Nightmare set. This gives an excellent damage boost (basically increasing damage up to 30 percent) plus having a 100 Crit rate of 99. Similar applies to Crit LC.
The speed LC powerspike gets full Hallucination to get to 100 percent crit rate, and also leverage Raid Captain over Cursed Doll (which is more affordable) while not being far behind by a lot in DPS for DS.
I am aware of the feeling that he's not doing enough in comparison to relic stages, especially if you look at him in comparison to Sorc and Zerkers But Sharpshooter is among the classes that can scale well using relic gears and can keep pace with DPS along the likes of Sorc as well as Zerkers even.
