The most forgiving melee DPS class in wrath

Jul-08-2022 PST Category: WOW TBC Classic

Also, I've got almost no knowledge of the game of wrath. I played the first WoW from the beginning to the second week of Wrath, and then I stopped until Cataclysm was released. I've never played the community of private servers in any way, so on all things considered the expansion is completely new to me.

I've watched a lot of videos of classes in Wrath the game, how well they are, how much they change and more. But what I'm not seeing the most of is their ease of use. I'm a fan of melee DPS classes, and almost always have. When I played classic, I racked up through Naxx with excellent parses and as a rogue. In TBCC I'm leveling five 70's as of now and I'm a little tinkering with them all and raid Kara, ZA and the occasional pug in SSC/TK as well as BT. I've never raided any content when it was in its current state and I'm assuming it'll be similar in Wrath. I'm expecting to be stressed with my studies and work at the time of its launch which is why I'm likely to play pretty casually, however, I will definitely play raids, maybe even one or two levels behind the current raids.

I don't claim to being a particularly skilled player. I'm not great, but in certain classes, that I think are more difficult to master I struggle, and may play blue, while in other classes have me hitting purple parses quite often.

In the moment, I'm playing Feral, Ret Pally, Fury Warrior and Rogue at 70. The Warrior is definitely the most easy for me to. Make sure you make sure your seal is properly twisting every single time is one thing I'm not particularly good in, and even though I've seen inconsistent results when I DPS as cat (my guild occasionally requires tanks, while others don't and I simply do my best) generally, I find that powershifting at just exactly the right time isn't something I'm very good at. If I can read a decently it's due to luck.

What I'm interested in is which melee classes from Wrath are similar in terms of gameplay style as the fury warrior class in the classic. I'm a fan that I play the role of my Paladin as Ret because, I've heard the game is more linear and less flashy as it has become using seal twisting. I like the concept of having a DK however, as I've seen it, running management is quite difficult to master as I've heard that they are frightened and their high skill levels render them extremely unforgiving.

I'm just trying to find an expert opinion regarding a suitable melee DPS option that performs well in old equipment, and also not too difficult to master.

Sorry I'm sorry if this is a long post to read, but despite my efforts, I'm having trouble being able to come up with an answer. In the moment, I'm leaning towards Ret but I'm keen to hear opinions.
